Fried Chicken

Fried Chicken – if you don’t have a recipe in the back of your head, learn one (hey why not this one!?) it is so easy and worth every fat filled, crispy moment. A fried chicken recipe follows a few simple steps; spice your chicken, batter it, fry it, eat it. This is no exception, using pepper, salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper as the 4 secret spices it gives the chicken a lip smacking spicy finish. When it came to what to ‘batter’ the chicken in, I have played around with flour, butter milk and many other concoctions. With this recipe I settled on using self raising flour as it gives a much nicer crunch, whilst taking the same technique as I used in my Hot Sauce Onion Wings recipe  by adding hot sauce to the flour – giving a moorish spicy edge to this recipe. This recipe is great for a treat – but will always be my go to for a hangover cure!
